On Tuesday, November 12th, NYJA partnered with B’nai Jeshurun, the Interfaith Center of New York (ICNY), the Marlene Meyerson JCC, and others for a post-election interfaith gathering, united in faith and democracy at the Church of St. Paul and St. Andrew (SPSA) on the Upper West Side. NYJA co-founder and Board Member Rabbi Sharon Kleinbaum joined with other speakers–Rev. Dr. Chloe Breyer, Rev. Serene Jones, Imam Ammar Abdul Rahman, and others–to offer inspiring words, including that our first call to action in this moment must be self-care, “understanding that feeding our souls and taking care of our bodies will make it possible for us to engage in the marathon that lies ahead.” You can watch the rest of Rabbi Kleinbaum’s remarks below, and you can find a recording of the entire gathering on SPSA’s YouTube channel here.
