Micah Lasher has been a leader in the private, public, and nonprofit sectors, focused on public policy and communications. Most recently, he was Head of Policy and Communications for Sidewalk Labs, an Alphabet (Google) company focused on innovation in technology and urban design to address challenges facing cities across the world.
Previously, Micah served at all three levels of government, including as Chief of Staff in the Office of the New York State Attorney General, Director of State Legislative Affairs for the City of New York, Executive Director of External Affairs for the New York City Department of Education, and as an aide to Congressman Jerry Nadler. He was also a founding partner of the communications consulting firm now called SKDKnickerbocker. In addition to the New York Jewish Agenda, Micah serves as trustee of several nonprofit organizations: Everytown for Gun Safety, where he is the board treasurer; the Community Service Society, where he serves as vice chair; and the Riverside Park Conservancy, where he is the chair. Micah is a lifelong New Yorker who lives in Manhattan with his wife, Elizabeth Mann, and three children—Nate, Benjamin, and Phoebe. They are longtime congregants at Rodeph Sholom on the Upper West Side.
